How to commission an artwork

Do you have a concept for a custom painting or illustration? Start by contacting me via email. Together we will work to translate the ideas it into an artwork you can treasure. We will discuss, in detail, what you would like to see, the mediums I can use, sizes available, time frames, and your budget for the project.

DWELLINGS
I prefer to work directly from photographs. The photographs must represent the exact proportions and composition in which you would like painted.  I recommend a photograph that captures the light of the dwelling. Lights and shadows create a deeper sense of reality that I can carry over into the painting. I can make variations to the season and foliage according to your preference and I can remove unwanted attributes if need be.  If you do not have a photograph I can arrange to take one myself in which to work from.  If I need to travel a far distance away to capture the photograph I      will need to charge a fee for this service.  The turn around is typically 5-7 days, depending on size and detail involved.

PET PORTRAITS
I will need a proportional photograph to work from.  It is best if I can see all the parts of the animal so that I can accurately paint them.  I typically work with pen and ink and use watercolor to accent the illustration, however if you are looking for another medium I am happy to discuss the possibilities with you.  The turn around is usually 5-7 days depending on size and detail involved.

PRODUCTION
With 9 years experience working in television and film production I a can work with you to create sets, costumes, painting, illustrations, fashion sketching, sewing, upholstering, tapestries and miniatures according to your needs.

RANDOM ACTS OF ART
There is a grey area of art in which I also like to be found.  If you have an idea for a baby/children’s room mural or your church or school or organization needs a mural or a logo painted, if you would like an illustration for your wedding invitation, or custom painted word art, I am more than happy to discuss the particulars and help take the idea to the next level.

Matting and framing are available at an additional cost.
